"My biggest draw is that I’m not afraid to talk about it. Whatever “it” may be. Grief, depression, anxiety, PTSD, impostor syndrome, we’ve all experienced at least one of these at some point, or we will because of how life goes. I’ve always strived to remove the stigma around the darker topics so the people who do suffer will finally feel comfortable enough to talk before they internalize. This mission of mine to help the sad kids has always been personal, since I grew up as one, but I never thought it was that important to talk about. After losing my little brother to suicide, I realized how incredibly essential it is to make sure you connect with the people you care for, even on the sad stuff. So I started making music to remind myself, and maybe somewhere, hopefully, save a kid in a similar position who hasn’t figured out yet that it can get better."

"I think the moments I am most proud of are the few where I’ve had fans reach out to say my words helped them to keep going for another day; once, I was approached at a show by a fan who shared that my music saved her life. I don’t know that anything will ever top that moment because it felt like I finally did what I’ve been meaning to do—help people."
